Welcome to Normanhurst Boys' High School
Celebration of 50 years of quality education for boys Saturday August 30 and Sunday August 31 - for more information, click here Normanhurst Boys' High School was opened on 28 January 1958 as comprehensive boys' school. It was designated a selective school from the commencement of the 1994 school year and received its first intake of 120 boys in that year. From 1999 the school became fully selective with a student population of approximately 720. The school is situated on 6.3 hectares within 5 minutes walk of the Normanhurst railway station. The grounds are very pleasant with trees and extensive grassed areas. Many traditions have continued over the years: the School Motto, the School badge and School colours are part of the school’s heritage.
School Statement of Purpose (Revised 2003) Parents who may not wish to have their son's name or photograph shown in any school publication need to inform us of this in writing. Parents and carers have the right to prevent names and photographs of their son being publicly displayed. Should a written statement not be received by the school then it is assumed that parents and carers are happy for names and photographs to be used. This includes documents such as the school's annual report, the school magazine Phoenix and photographs on this website. I wish to thank Zeeshan Yusuf of Year 12 2005 for creating this website and Mr J.Gow, Librarian, for supplying the photos used. |
