P & C Association
Normanhurst Boys High School is fortunate in having a small but dedicated core of parents/carers who support the school through their participation in the P&C Association. The P&C directs its activities towards improving the educational experiences and outcomes for students.
Substantial financial support is just one way in which the P&C assists the school. Find raising activities contribute by allowing the purchase of educational materials, teaching and musical equipment. The P&C has funded Maths, English and Science special day programs.
The P&C operated canteen was refurbished in 2003 and its equipment upgraded. A completely new menu has been introduced to promote fresh and healthy food. It has featured in the Sydney Morning Herald as an exemplar for other schools to follow. The Canteen Committee continue to operate the canteen returning profits to the school.
The Backpack Committee continues its excellent work, with cooperation from the Chiropractors Association.
The Functions Committee also continued to assist the school, providing and coordinating support for functions held throughout the year including the Year 7 Orientation day, the ANZAC day morning tea, Presentation night and many more.
The P&C meets on the second Tuesday of the month in term time at 8.00 pm in the school library. All parents/carers are invited to attend.
